Happy New Year!! The 2015 holiday season came to a brilliant close at midnight this morning. It is customary for some folks to try to improve their lives by making New Year’s Resolutions. I am not one of those people. I never seemed to stick to resolutions, so I saw no point in even trying to make them! What I have found to be very helpful is to establish a #OneWord business goal to guide me throughout the new year. In 2014 my #OneWord was Optimism; 2015 was Do. They served me well, but it’s time for a new goal.
My #OneWord for 2016 is Outsource. It is a practical word — not as poetic as Optimism or Do, but it is an important next step on the road to building a sustainable private practice. The success of my Year of Do has led me to the realization that it is not possible for one person to wear all the hats in an organization. It is time for me to add others to my team of experts so I will be free to continue doing what I do best!
Here’s hoping Outsource serves me as well as Optimism and Do!
Are you participating in a #OneWord project? What is your word for 2016?
